How to Make Your Blog Posts Speak

Speaking with your audience is important when you write a blog post. You shouldn’t just merely talk about the topic. Engage with your audience, and your blog will become more and more popular.
If you want to know one strongest way to engage your audience, it is by speaking with them directly. By leading an interesting conversation, you will be able to make your blog stands out.

Here are some tips to make your blog posts speak:

Become a storyteller

When you strike a conversation with your friend, how you catch his interest? By telling him a little bit of story in your life. No matter what kind of story you tell him, story can make the other person to engage in the conversation. Whether you are telling him that you miss your bus today or you meet the woman that you love, story will make him interested to hear your words. This is similar with your blog audience.

In order to speak with them more effectively, and make them to engage with your blog, you should tell them your story. Most successful bloggers are good storytellers. That’s because they understand the power of story-telling.

Involve your audience in your blog post

Don’t just put your audience as your listeners. If you want to speak with them, you have to actively involve your audience in your blog post. How to do it? You may ask. It’s by asking them some questions along your blog post.

Now, you might already know that question can lead someone to respond. If you ask someone a question such as “what time is it?” the other person will naturally want to answer your question. And since you are writing a blog post, it is appropriate to ask some questions throughout the post. Yes, people will respond in the comment section of your blog post. No question, no answer. So, if you want to speak with them, ask some questions.

Ongoing conversation

Your single blog post can be an important piece of content on the internet if only you can preserve the ongoing conversation in that single post. Now, let’s take a simple case. Which blog post do you prefer to read: a blog post with zero comments, or a blog post with 137 comments?

The more comments your blog post has, the more people will engage in the conversation. So, don’t hesitate to keep participating in the conversation with your audience. In the end of your blog post, you have to ask them to share their thoughts about your post. And once some of them respond in the comments, reply all of them to preserve the conversation. In this way, your blog post’s comments will keep growing.

What does it mean for you? It means that more and more people will respond to your post and you will keep responding to them until you’re exhausted. You will have stronger search engine position, more subscribers, more visitors, more traffic, and more advertising income. A good deal, isn’t it? So, speak with your audience by creating ongoing conversation with them.
